Goodbye to our conductor Dimitri; hello to Simon

After two years with the band, our conductor Dimitri is moving on to pastures new.

We’re sad to see him go but he’s been offered a brilliant opportunity to conduct a band up in London where he lives. Good luck Dimitri in your new adventure!

As we say goodbye to Dimitri we say hello to a new conductor, Simon, who joins us in September. Simon has worked with lots of concert bands and he’s involved in the Royal Marines music scene.

We’re looking forward to Simon joining us and seeing what the band’s next chapter brings. We’re already starting to prepare for a tour to Wales in October – more on that soon.

Now the summer holidays are coming to an end (sad face), we’re all starting to think about getting back into a routine ready for the new school term.

Now’s the perfect time to dust off your instrument and join a band. Come and join us. We rehearse every Thursday and it’s a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and have fun playing music together.
