We’re proud to support Julia’s House charity in 2025

We’re thrilled to announce we’re supporting Julia’s House as our chosen charity for 2025.

Throughout the year, we’ll be raising funds and awareness through concerts and events. These will range from collections and raffles at our performances, to Christmas busking across Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch.

You’ve helped us raise £855 so far this year

We’ve already made a fantastic start. Our Easter raffle and donations during our To Be Vivid Stars Spring concert at St Peter’s Church in Parkstone raised a wonderful £855. A huge thank you to everyone who gave their support.

We also had the privilege of visiting Julia’s House in person, an experience that was deeply moving and truly inspiring. Seeing first-hand the compassion, care, and joy their team brings to every child and family left a lasting impression.

Julia’s House shared this heartfelt message with us:

Julia’s House is so grateful for the support of everyone involved in the Bournemouth and District Concert Band, and for their wonderful musical talent. As Julia’s House only receives 8% funding from the government, the generous fundraising from the band will make an amazing difference to the local children and families we support, at a time we desperately need the help from the local community. We are so grateful to have their support, and we want to give a huge thank you to everyone involved.”

About Julia’s House

This remarkable organisation provides expert care and support for seriously ill children and their families across Dorset and Wiltshire. Their dedicated nurses and carers offer both hospice and in-home care, giving families vital respite and helping them make the most of every precious moment together.

With just 8% of their funding coming from the government, Julia’s House relies heavily on donations to continue offering their services free of charge. That’s why we’re proud to do our bit.
